Wines
We offer an extensive wine list from up to 12 countries covering all of the major wine producing regions, varieties, prices and styles including a substantial number available by the glass and all are very competitively priced.
Our list includes unique wines such as a Chardonnay from Palacio de Muruzabal in Navarra, Lawson's Dry Hills Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, a Malbec from Bodega del Fin del Mundo in Patagonia and the fantastic L'Ermita by Alvaro Palacios from Priorat. The list also includes the ever popular Merlot from Underraga, one of the oldest wineries in the Maipo Valley in Chile.

Undurraga Sauvignon Blanc
Light refreshing dry white with clean green fruits, lemon zest and a dry finish. Great on its own, or with any of the fish or salad dishes.
Peter Lehmann, Barossa, Chardonnay
An un-oaked Chardonnay, medium-bodied with pure rounded apple and pear fruits. A food match for richer fish or chicken.
Pinot Grigio Trentino DOC, Storie de Vite, Cantina Sociale La Vis
Light in alcohol, with soft pear fruits off-set nicely by refreshing citrus flavours. Ideal as an aperitif or with fish and salads.
Macon Villages, Cave de Vire
Traditional Burgundy chardonnay with lots of clean ripe fruits. Great with chicken or fish.

Soft forward fresh grapefruit and pear fruits in a lively great all-purpose wine Suitable for most fish or chicken dishes.
Muscadet de Sevre-et-Maine, sur lie, AC, Domaine Saupin
Refreshing and crisp with clean zesty finish. Ideal as a summer aperitif or with fish.
Alsace, Cave de Turkheim, Riesling, 2004
A medium-bodied dry wine with clean fresh apple fruits. Great with chicken and fish such as salmon.
Vin de Pays d'Oc, Viognier, Domaine de Terre Megere, 2006
Beautifully aromatic with mouth-watering flavours from a grape enjoying a major revival in popularity. Ideal as an aperitif or with chicken or fish.
Alsace, Domaine Jean Luc Mader, Gewurztraminer
Wonderfully aromatic, with rich honeyed fruits, and plenty of flavour. Excellent on its own or with chicken or fish.
Mount Vernon Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, 2005
Typical New Zealand sauvignon, vibrant and aromatic with gooseberry flavours mixed with lime zest. Excellent on its own or with all kinds of fish, cheese or salads.
Chablis , Cave de Lugny, 2005
A clean zesty wine with bone dry green apple fruits and plenty of crisp acidity. A great match for grilled white fish
Sancerre, Paul Prieur, 2004
Clean, and aromatic with crisp green fruits and plenty of refreshing acidity. Good with fish and shellfish, or a great match with goat's cheese.
Red Wines
Esprit de Nijinsky, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ch.Vignelaure, 2004
David O'Brien gave up a successful career as racehorse trainer to make wines at this famous chateau in Provence. Named after the famous Derby winner this is a rounded elegant wine with soft plum fruits. Great on its own, with chicken, duck or D7 Ploughmans.
El Coto Rioja Crianza, 2003
Elegant strawberry and raspberry fruits, hints of vanilla and a smooth finish. Ideal with lamb or with duck.
Bodega del Fin del Mundo,, Malbec Patagonia, 2005
Full-bodied ripe loganberry fruits, balanced nicely by a light spiciness and a dry finish. Lamb, beef or cheesy dishes would be the best partner.
Undurraga Merlot , Reserva
Rich rounded spicy plum fruits with plenty of power, and a rounded finish. Suit most grilled meats, full-bodied pasta dishes, or firm cheeses.

Full-bodied rich, rounded and ripe with the easiest of soft finishes. Lamb would be the local favourite.

Rich, spicy and fruity with luscious flavours. Ideal with the steak or lamb.
Fleurie Domaine des Grands Fers, 2005
Nicely fragrant wine with supple strawberry and summer fruits. Great with the duck or lamb.
Valpolicella Superiore Classico Ripasso, 2001
Full-bodied, rich wine with ripe damsons and cherries. Great with powerful foods, steak or the lamb.
Fleur de Cap, Pinotage, Stellenbosch, 2006
Powerful, very assertive, intensely spicy with very ripe plum fruits in a heady wine. Good with any red meat and a great match for the steak.
Cotes du Rhone Villages d'Uchaux, Ch. St. Esteve, Grand Reserve, 2004
Powerful, hearty wine with ripe strawberry fruits and a lovely spiciness. Try it with the duck, lamb or steak.
Bourgogne, Hautes Cote de Beaune 'Les Alouettes', 2004
Pale in colour with supple voluptuous summer fruits, hardly any tannins and a smooth finish. Ideal with the chicken, duck or RD7 Ploughmans.
St Emilion, Ch Tour du Pas St Georges, 2001
Medium-bodied, dry with smooth blackcurrants and cassis. Ideal for steak or lamb.

Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, La Source, Ch Vignelaure 2005
Gold medal winner from David O'Brien, brimming with summer fruits. A good all-rounder by itself and excellent with with salmon or salads.
Penedes D.O., Can Rafols dels Caus, Gran Caus Merlot Rose
A richer fruitier style of ros�, with textured raspberry and strawberry flavours, and a dry finish. Good for fish or chicken.
Champagne & Sparkling Wines
Cava Reserva Marques de Monistrol
Medium-bodied green fruits with a toasty element, finishing dry.
Prosecco Valdobbiandene Conegliano La Contesse
Light and refreshing pear and peach fruits with an off-dry finish. The perfect start to a meal.
Champagne Veuve Clicquot
Medium-bodied Champagne with rounded apple and light redcurrants. Some bready notes and a good long finish.
Sweet Wines

Superb elegant wine with concentrated fruit, balanced perfectly by refreshing citrus acidity. Partner it with fruit-based desserts. Also good with blue cheese.
Noble One Botrytis Semillon 2000 (37.5cl)
Rich tangy orange peel and marmelade flavours in a complex wine with excellent length. Try it with richer desserts.
Muscat de Beaume de Venise Domaine de Durban
Rich and full-bodied grape and toffee fruits with plenty of power and a sweet finish. Ideal with all the richer desserts.

Blackberry and plum fruits in a rounded, supple wine. A great way to end the meal.
